After high school graduation I studied clinical psychology at Charles University. I started working in a psychiatric hospital in Dobrany in Czech Republic before finishing my university studies. It was where I collected information needed for my thesis, which was concentrating on researching of cognitive and communicative aspects of schizophrenic patients. After I finished my studies I began working in another psychiatric hospital in Horní Beřkovice. There I was getting experience in an open ward for the after-care treatment of psychotic patients. Afterwards I worked in the residential treatment center for neurotic patients in Lobeč and at the same time I also worked as an extern in a marriage counseling service. In 1983 I was a co-founder of DSS by Prague psychiatric clinic. It was a „day house“ for people diagnosed as psychotics. My interest slowly shifted to what can be done to prevent troubles that come along with the hospitalization of patients. The outcome of this was the founding of the crisis intervention center RIAPS in 1991 where I was a director for the first four years. I also finished my training in Ericksonian hypnosis and PBSP (Pesso Boyden Psychomotoric Psychotherapy) and  I have been working as a private psychotherapist since I left RIAPS. My professional orientation has been heading towards better understanding of altered states of consciousness. I regularly hold holotropic breathwork sessions; I was certified in 1992 in USA. I am influenced by transpersonal orientation in psychotherapy. I work with the psychotherapeutical model PBSP and see my clients mostly individually. My interest in altered states of consciousness and ways that lead to such states led me to the theme of spiritual emergency. The experiences I gained throughout the past twenty five years led to the founding of DIABASIS, an organization whose goal is to help people who are going through spiritual emergency. I teach the theme of spiritual emergency in Charles University as well as in other places. I also manage the help for people hospitalized in psychiatric hospital in Bohnice where I also teach diagnostical tools. I have other experience with altered states of mind like sweat lodge, vision quest, TP and others- either as a participant or leader.
