Psychedelics, Astrology and the expansion of consiousness
From a therapeutic point of view, when ones consumes a psychedelic, what is profoundly healing is the revelation of the meaning. Psychedelics, by blurring the edges of our habitual consciousness, give us the opportunity to access subtler layers of consciousness: that of the biographical unconscious, but also the collective images, and in an even more subtle layer, the structural order of the universe. The experience becomes full of meaning through the revelation of patterns that respond to a loving and living order. On the other hand, Astrology, as a mode of perception and not as a predictive tool, acts in the same way as a psychedelic: it awakens us to the experience of archetypal patterns and reconnects us to the underlying order of existence. However, the therapeutic and expansive potential of the psychedelic experience can be completely truncated if it is not elaborated, integrated and put into practice in everyday life. If we forget that all psychedelics are a tool and not the solution in itself, we will continue to create placebos that impede a true change in our existential and global consciousness. Astrology, as a perceptual practice, is a possible way to embody the expansive states of psychedelic consciousness in our daily lives. Learning to perceive the universal order in the events moment by moment, they can recover their therapeutic potential and life itself becomes a psychedelic experience of expansion and connectedness.
